Funded by Visit England, the English National Park Experience Collection is a multi-million pound initiative to develop and sell immersive experiences to foreign markets.
The contract entailed shooting at 65 different businesses across nine National Parks, from Northumberland to Dartmoor, and involved three laps of the country.
The brief was to capture a genuinely hands-on experience; of doing something and getting stuck in. We chose to adopt a documentary approach and looked for dynamic compositions, real emotion and a tangible feel of authenticity.
The various film outputs were numerous, but the above overview of the scheme captures the essence of what we produced.
From falconry to photography; mining gems to distilling gins; bread-making, vintage cycling, living like a Roman, learning to sail, wildlife safaris, foraging for food, the diversity of subjects was as great as it was inspiring.
But at the heart of it was the natural wonder of our National Parks, and the people, history and nature that make them.
